What we learned from 10,000 bakery apps
Small businesses want boring, reliable software. So do we.

Bakeries are the most common kind of business building on Yuzu, and not by a little. So we have read a lot of bakery prompts. A few patterns kept coming up.
Nobody asked for a feed
Almost no one wanted likes, comments or an activity stream. They wanted a list of orders, sorted by pickup time, that someone with flour on their hands can read from across the room.
Limits matter more than features
The most common rule in a bakery prompt is a cap: 60 loaves, 12 cakes, closed on Mondays. The oven is the real database. So limits became a first-class part of the plan instead of something you bolt on later.
Boring is a feature
When an app runs a business, surprises are expensive. That’s why new projects start in Stripe test mode, why every change is a version you can restore, and why we ship most weeks but rarely ship anything loud.
If you run a bakery and made it this far, the Bakery preorders template is a good place to start.
